The SKOLNIK carbon steel open-head drum comes with a removable cover and a bolt ring, has a 55-gallon capacity, and can be used to store and transport hazardous solids or liquids. The drum and the cover are made of carbon steel, which is resistant to impacts and wear. A gasket helps prevent leaks and is made of EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber, which is resistant to heat, water, and wear. The drum has a storage capacity of 55 gallons, weighs 60 lb., and measures 33" high and 22-1/2" in diameter. The wall of the drum is 1.5 mm thick.This product meets ASTM International criteria for carbon steel. It has United Nations (UN) specification markings of 1A2/X430/S for solids and 1A2/Y1.5/175 for liquids.
