20 Gal Closed-Top Steel Drum-Black-Rust Inhibitor Lining A 20 gallon steel drum with a tight head for product preservation. This black closed head 20 gallon steel drum has a rust inhibitor interior and is designed to safely store and transport both non-hazardous and hazardous chemicals, inks, detergents, lubricants, and more without rust development. Cold rolled steel of the highest quality: Top and bottom gauges are 16 gauge, and the body gauge is 20 gauge. A 2" NPS fitting and a 3/4" NPS fitting are included. Containers that are good for the environment: they can be recycled, reconditioned, or repurposed. A good hazardous materials container should include the following features: UN 1A1/X1.2/300, 1A1/X1.2/300, 1A1/X1.2/300 The UN standards for carrying hazardous materials under DOT 49 CFR are met by this 20 gallon drum, which was designed, produced, and certified to satisfy those criteria. *IMPORTANT NOTE: The rust inhibitor put to the interior of unlined steel containers is an antioxidant that aids in the prevention of rust formation during transit and storage, but it does not prevent rusting. Drums containing rust inhibitors can be stored for up to 30 days without rusting in optimum conditions (clean, low humidity). Consider a phenolic or epoxy liner if empty drums will be stored for prolonged periods of time or in higher humidity conditions.
